One of our favorite projects to date – the distressed farmhouse table we built for our friend and wedding photographer.
We found the plans for this table on www.anawhite.com.
The legs were purchased thru Maddox Mill Works on Etsy. He’s a link to the shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/MaddoxMillWorks?ref=l2-shopheader-name
We stained the entire table with Minwax Jacobean stain, then applied two coats of Valspar Chalky Finish Paint in Her Dainties to the base.
The top received three coats of semi-gloss Minwax water-based poly. We sanded in between coats to ensure a super smooth finish!
Then we sanded the base of the table…then sanded some more. We used 120 grit sand paper on a palm sander and went to town. We hit all of the edges, and any spaces that looked like they might receive some wear and tear over the years.
We could not be happier with the end product, but even better yet – our friend and photographer absolutely loved it!
