Distressed Farmhouse Table

One of our favorite projects to date – the distressed farmhouse table we built for our friend and wedding photographer.

We found the plans for this table on www.anawhite.com. 13731989_976448042453750_5544384335731381212_o

The legs were purchased thru Maddox Mill Works on Etsy. He’s a link to the shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/MaddoxMillWorks?ref=l2-shopheader-name 13730898_976448039120417_800131366181380312_o

We stained the entire table with Minwax Jacobean stain, then applied two coats of Valspar Chalky Finish Paint in Her Dainties to the base.13724123_976448055787082_2356821115814334425_o

The top received three coats of semi-gloss Minwax water-based poly. We sanded in between coats to ensure a super smooth finish!13765705_976448045787083_6666366920112960427_o-1

Then we sanded the base of the table…then sanded some more. We used 120 grit sand paper on a palm sander and went to town. We hit all of the edges, and any spaces that looked like they might receive some wear and tear over the years. 13731054_976448002453754_1276087984001657953_o

We could not be happier with the end product, but even better yet – our friend and photographer absolutely loved it!
